Weaning Ourselves off of the Bottle(d Water)

I've been meaning to do a post for some time on bottled water, but I haven't had the time to get together the type of statistics I want. I came across this post today from Sustainablog (great name by the way) with a lot of eye opening information. It's well worth the read. Until I do my own post on the subject, I suggest you take some time to read this one. Stumble Upon Toolbar

Hi Robin:

I just recently switched from plastic bottles to a Sigg water bottle. I was concerned with the leaching of plastics, although I've been drinking them for years. It will be interesting to see what happens with the water bladder industry and how they will address the plastic problem in the future.

Dagney -

I love the look of those Sigg bottles, but I haven't bought one yet because I'm concerned I'll loose it after a day or two.

We have some big plastic sports bottles that we bought that have the #2 on the bottom - from my research I've learned that #2 is one of the less dangerous. We need them for the boys for soccer and baseball and what not. While not the best option, they are the most reasonable for my family at the moment.

Hey, I checked out your organic apparel site. Looks like good stuff.
